Professor Jacquelien Scherpen is a professor at the University of Groningen. She conducts research in automation and control engineering, applied mathematics, and mechanical and electrical engineering. She is a co-founder of HTRIC. Her other positions are: 

  • Scientific Director of the Groningen Engineering Center
  • Board member of the Dutch Institute of Systems and Control (DISC)
  • President of the European Control Association (EUCA)
  • Member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Control Systems Society
  • Member of the council for the International Federation on Automatic Control (IFAC)
  • Member of the steering group of Mathematical Theory for Networks and Systems (MTNS)
  • Member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Eindhoven
  • Captain of Science at HTSM Topsector, since March 2020
